How Noda Vale confirms Fijian citizenship so local rates reach Fijian residents, and how documents are handled.
Why we verify
Local rates are meaningfully lower than tourist rates. Verification keeps them for Fijian citizens and protects owners from disputes at check-in.
Accepted documents
A Fijian passport; or a Fiji voter registration card; or a TIN card. Voter cards and TIN cards must be submitted with proof of address dated within the last three months — a utility bill, bank statement, tenancy agreement or letter from a village headman (Turaga ni Koro).
How review works
Submissions are reviewed by the Noda Vale team, usually within two working days. We may ask for a clearer image or extra evidence. Decisions are recorded and you are notified in the app.
Storage and deletion
Documents are held in restricted storage that only reviewers can open, are never shared with owners or guests, and are deleted once verification has been decided and any legal retention period has ended.
Misuse
Submitting a document that is not yours, or altering a document, results in permanent removal from Noda Vale and may be reported to the authorities.
